PREPARE AND SUPPORT AN EMERGING GENERATION OF HUMANISTIC NURSES!
Nurses with post-graduate training in Nursing are essential in order to meet current and future healthcare challenges as well as keep pace with technological advances and the unrelenting pace of scientific developments. The team at the Université de Montréal Marguerite-d'Youville Research Chair on Humanistic Nursing Interventions is making a concrete contribution to meeting this need by preparing and supporting the next generation of dynamic, humanist nurses.
As Chairholder, student supervision is one of Véronique Dubé’s activities. Dr. Dubé is a professor in the Faculty of Nursing at Université de Montréal, supervising the work of graduate students with all the rigour required and providing them with the support they need to successfully advance in their university studies.

Supporting the next generation of nurses also means providing opportunities to new students aspiring to higher education in the Faculty of Nursing, so they can get to know what such studies can bring to their lives, and to open up their horizons. The following testimonial is by a Bachelor of Nursing student who expressed an interest in this kind of experience:
“As an undergraduate student, becoming part of the team at the Marguerite-d'Youville Chair has broadened the scope of my research knowledge. What excites me about being involved in this way is the fact that the things I'm learning are highly motivating, and they enable me to put my knowledge into practice, further enhancing my professional practice as a nurse. Taking part in a number of research projects has allowed me to develop a better understanding of the realities of family caregivers, and get to know various teaching tools specifically for this clientele. ” Philip, undergraduate student, Parcours RÉCI |
