Inspired by Marguerite d’Youville, five religious orders mobilized to continue her work. Through their donations, the Marguerite-d’Youville Research Chair on Humanistic Nursing Interventions was created at Université de Montréal in May 2015. The Chair's research focuses on the development and evaluation of humanistic nursing care interventions for vulnerable clients.
The Chair is associated with the Faculty of Nursing at Université de Montréal and operates out of the Research Center of the Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CRCHUM).
The first holder of the Chair, Véronique Dubé, was appointed on January 4, 2016 for a five-year mandate.
